I'll try to keep short and to the point. I have no problem with the Equestria Girls movie. And I can't fully comprehend why so many people do. Hasbro wants to expand their product, hence EQG. This isn't a new idea to any company. If you have a good thing going, expand on it. In fact, it'd be stupid NOT to. If you didn't know Hasbro was in it for the money then you're probably a bit too naive for your own good.
This isn't the end of MLP:FiM, despite the fervent pablum that insists the contrary. Quite frankly, it's irrational to think it is. To be brutally honest, I want EQG to be good. It doesn't have to be phenomenal, spectacular, or even very good. It just has to be good, and I'll be happy. Hopefully - and I say that as wishful thinking - that will shut up all these neigh-sayers and put them in their place.
It also seems odd that so many Bronies are getting worked up over this before it even airs. These people watch My Little Pony! Until it aired and they started watching it they would have thought you crazy for telling them that My Little Pony is a good show. Hell, that's what I thought. Now, they love the show. But here they are, failing to learn from experience, criticizing a spin-off movie that hasn't even been released yet. It doesn't make sense in this Brony's mind.
Alright, I'm done.
In other news: 'Ender's Game' comes out this fall. Hopefully it's as good as the book.
